Lampasas is a small country town that is growing everyday. The population is over 6000 - with most of that growth out in the eastern part of the county.
Lampasas is close to Copperas Cove, Killeen, Fort Hood and Harker Heights. Also, Burnet, Marble Falls and Kingsland.
Lampasas has a wonderful history - being at one time on the end of the rail line to the west. The Park Hotel could house a thousand visitors at a time. Those visitors came out to Lampasas to bath in the sulfur springs that had been found at that time to help alleviate an number of ailments!
